Recently on a trip to the West Fork trail in Oak Creek Canyon, I noticed my tinnitus go away completely when listening to the stream of water passing over the rocks. "There’s a meta question that is not "how do you solve the difficult question?" but "how do you solve the set of all possible difficult questions?" … Speak the truth. And play fair. And that works. And so I’ve been communicating that, as diligiently as I can for the last three decades, predicated on my observation that we got some things right. And we should do better with it, even. And if we transformed ourselves, each and everyone, into better people, predicated on the observation of that core identity, that we would then become collective the sort of people who could probably solve any problem put to them, no matter what the magnitude."

  6. Mike Monteiro: 13 Ways Designers Screw Up Client Presentations

The hardest part of design is presenting work. I’ve seen people who did amazing work get up in front of a client and lay eggs.
