  3. The Primal Importance of Fatherhood

Origins matter. The first book of the Sacred Scriptures, Genesis, is about the origins of all creation and the beginnings man, our first parents in the Garden of Eden and their descendants. The first chapter of St. Matthew, the first book of the New Testament, starts with the genealogy of His Majesty, tracing the origins of His lineage as the Son of David, Son of Abraham. The first mystery of the Holy Rosary is the Annunciation… indicating how His Majesty came to us through the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Ghost. Adopted children are similarly driven to find and meet their parents as if a part of their life were missing. Families often trace back their genealogy. There is a genealogy for bishops too… showing how their line goes back to the Apostles. If origins truly matter (and they do indeed matter), then fatherhood is of primal importance! Fatherhood and origins go together. Whenever there is a crisis in origins, as we are in at this time due to the psuedo-science of evolution which obscures and muddles origins, then fatherhood will come under attack or be greatly neglected. Whenever fatherhood is neglected or attacked, origins will also demeaned or confused or lost… For more please visit http://reginaprophetarum.org & remember to say 3 Hail Marys for the priest

  4. Relate by Zendesk: Parenting

Parenthood. It’s the mother (or father) of all relationships. On this episode of the Relate podcast, we’re exploring parenthood from a few different angles. You’ll hear about a tough-as-nails biker club in New York City that helps support moms and their newborn babies. There’s also a rather extreme example of parenting… from behind bars. Mona Graves spent 24 years in prison, and not only managed to parent her two sons, but used her experience to help other incarcerated mothers. And we get some hilarious perspectives on fatherhood and minivans from James Breakwell. He’s the author of “Only Dead On The Inside - A Parent’s Guide to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse.”
