Immutability plays a huge role in functional programming and many languages support immutability directly; like the readonly keyword in C#. It is possible to create immutable objects in PHP, but the language lacks inherent immutable features for scalar variables and class properties. We discuss how to bring functional programming concepts to PHP and brainstorm some features that could possibly be added to future versions of PHP to offer better immutability support with Larry Garfield, Matthew Weier O’Phinney, and Glen Hinkle.

We’ll be looking at what DDD is and how it can help us write better code.
Chris Do and Jose Caballer share how they translate strategy into visual design. Learn how to scaffold towards a solution with your client. Learn the framework (or process) Chris uses to translate your, and your clients ideas into a strategy that makes it easy to write copy, create adds, logos, choose colors, designs, etc. that are aligned with your, and your clients shared goals. Chris reminds us that there is no original work, everything is a copy or modification of another idea. Everyone uses references to inspire their designs, stand on the shoulders of giants. They each share examples of their process and links to more examples are below. A can’t miss episode!
