Epic Games recently dropped their trailer highlighting their latest version of Unreal Engine 5 with an absolutely stellar demo emphasize two new technologies : Lumen and Nanite. And all of this to boot running on the upcoming Playstation 5. While this is all impressive for the future graphics and gaming, I have been thinking about what doors this technology might open for VR, specifically with Nanite. "Virtualizing" 3D models and assets opens up a huge door of possibilities for artists and even developers to create workflows that are all about creating VR apps and games within VR. Workflows and technologies like that are too cool not to talk about!
