  1. Uncertainty in solar sector over proposed NSW cutbacks - Radio National Breakfast - 17 May 2011

    The sudden and retrospective wind-back of the NSW solar bonus scheme has created uncertainty and fear in the roof top solar industry across Australia. Last Friday, the new O’Farrell Coalition Government stunned the sector with an announcement that it would retrospectively cut the solar feed-in tariff paid to an estimated 120,000 households and rural properties. The changes - still to pass parliament - potentially leave people who have signed contracts and installed roof top solar panels half a billion dollars out of pocket. The industry says thousands of jobs are on the line, and the move exposes the government to threats of legal action for breach of contract.
