"i met casey rice just once in boston when he was on tour with sigur-ros. i was a big fan of thrill jockey and jade tree and those so-called "chicago music", so i was really excited to see one of the masterminds. he was really nice too, nice enough to convince me to move to chicago, hoping i could get to hang out and work with him on some cool "chicago" projects. but when i moved to chicago, casey was ready to move out. i called him up but he was too busy, and a few weeks later he moved out of chicago. now i was stuck in chicago in the worst days of g.w.bush-depression. i lost job twice, lost directions, and ended up giving up on anything. i felt like going no where, depressed, sad and lonely. casey rice ruined my life."
