Releasing a second album after your debut LP received praise across the board can often be a daunting process but our next In Sessionist seemingly has the art of musical evolution down to a tee.
Scottish producer Grum released his debut album ‘Heartbeats’ back in 2010 to widespread critical acclaim. His throwback 80’s electro style acted as perfect dancefloor ammo and the more down tempo tracks are more than suited for your after party crack ons.
Skip to 2013 and in the three years since his debut, Grum has been busy. He’s been honing his craft, consuming more music than ever and now he’s back with second album that doesn’t sound like your typical Grum record. This we like.
His passion for providing club ready music hasn’t changed and ‘Human Touch’ shows a more mature approach to record making. The tracks are deeper, more focused and with this in mind Grum has created a truly unique In Session mix that showcases his styles and tastes perfectly. Tracks from Pryda, KiNK, John Digweed and Hot Since 82 herald a new era for Grum, one that we can’t wait to witness.
