  2. Third Paradigm: 3P-023 Taxing in a Time of Trouble

    This episode critiques Credo’s action alert in Afghanistan, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Making Contact’s episode "Tax Me, I’m Yours."

    Examines the concept that US troops should protect Afghan women as a way of justifying the occupation. Reads the poems "When They Sleep" by Rolf Jacobsen and "Hallelujah" by Mary Oliver to the music of "Welcome Ghosts" from EIS. Plays the Leonard Cohen song "Hallelujah" sung by Rufus Wainwright, "Here in the Going Going Gone" by Greg Brown, and "Cry Me a River" sung by Susan Boyle.
