  5. Menomena

    Think of the mp3 above as a sort of making-of DVD featurette from Menomena. As the track artwork explains, Menomena create their songs using a software program called Deeler, which band member Brent Knopf wrote when he was in college. The recording/looping program helps turn their jam sessions into the songs you hear on their albums. The half-hour "Magichat", which you can download above, collects a whole bunch of Deeler-created loops, some familiar and some not. Enjoy.
