Today we talk with Molly Holzschlag about CSS, resolving accessbility tensions in design, ARIA and the culture in Austin as we prepare for Knowbility’s John Slatin AccessU.
Molly Holzschlag has been working on the web from the very beginning of it’s invention. She joins Eric Meyer and Jen Simmons to talk about those days, and what it was like to be online in the time of BBSes, Gopher, and the text-only web. They discuss accessibility, the blink tag, the Web Standard Project, how Microsoft started embracing web standards and much more.
This week’s guest is Molly Steenson, a digital strategist, design researcher, architectural historian and Ph.D. candidate at Princeton University.
Molly joins Deb Schultz and Kevin Marks to discuss the implications of IBM’s Watson winning jeopardy, the hidden links between architecture and interface design, and whether “shipping code” is the only measure for creating value.
