The cooperative run Berkeley venue ‘Gilman Street’ was the epicenter of the Bay Area’s thriving punk scene. On any given night there in the late 80’s you could see a multitude of influential & energetic young bands, many of whom would later go on to become international rock stars. This mix is a snap shot of those early days, when spirited local kids recreated punk in their own image. Featuring: Isocracy, Fang, Kwikway, East Bay Mud, Crimpshrine, Operation Ivy, The Mr. T Experience, and The Transplants.
