Melvyn Bragg tackles the philosophy of logic - first mapped out by Aristotle in the 4th century BC; disregarded by Descartes in the 17th century and revived and reworked by Gottlob Frege in the 19th century; logic is at the heart of computer science and is a mathematical as well as a philosophical disclipline. Melvyn is joined by A.C. Grayling, Professor of Philosophy at Birkbeck, University of London; Peter Millican, Gilbert Ryle Fellow in Philosophy at Hertford College at the University of Oxford; and Rosanna Keefe, Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Sheffield.

jQuery and jQuery Mobile
Technometria with Phil Windley: jQuery is a JavaScript library meant to aid the software developer in rapid web development. It has the benefit of being cross-platform, helping the programmer in making sure that applications work in any browser. John Resig, it’s creator and lead developer, joins Phil and Scott to discuss its purpose and development. He also reviews the upcoming jQuery Mobile, a similar tool that will help in cross-platform development among mobile devices. With the initial alpha version expected later this year, John describes the similarities with jQuery and how he hopes that mobile developers will be more successful in writing better applications for more devices.
