    jQuery is a JavaScript library meant to aid the software developer in rapid web development. It has the benefit of being cross-platform, helping the programmer in making sure that applications work in any browser. John Resig, it’s creator and lead developer, joins Phil and Scott to discuss its purpose and development.

    He also reviews the upcoming jQuery Mobile, a similar tool that will help in cross-platform development among mobile devices. With the initial alpha version expected later this year, John describes the similarities with jQuery and how he hopes that mobile developers will be more successful in writing better applications for more devices.
