Conversation Hour: James Randi and Dr. Iain McGilchrist
Stella Young is a disability activist, comedian and editor of the ABC’s Ramp Up. Today she joined Jon Faine as his Conversation Hour co-host, for a journey into the depths of the human brain.
James Randi is a retired professional magician, now a famous skeptic and paranormal mythbuster. As he told Jon and Stella today, he’s also famous for a bizarre encounter on The Don Lane Show that’s become a classic moment in Australian television. And Dr Iain McGilchrist joined them, psychiatrist and writer. Best known for his writings about the two sides of the brain. He argues that the left and right brain have shaped our culture - and that the dominance of the left side is a bad thing for us and the planet. Dr Iain McGilchrist works privately in London, and lives on the Isle of Skye.
