Just to clarify, I would totally date a clown. As long as he or she were an atheist and a feminist, reasonably intelligent, with basic domestic skills.
This week things get a little sentimental. Please bear with me while I get personal and tell one of my stories about my time with Kathleen Hanna. Also Kathleen tells her story about how she came up with the title "Smell’s Like Teen Spirit."
Every year, the great Cleveland station WCSB has a pledge drive or "Radiothon," and we at Hour of Slack love this one single time each year, when we are able to legally grub for money just like regular Christian evangelists. You see, the stations that carry Hour of Slack are all public-supported and thus we can’t exactly advertise. Even during pledge drives, we can only grub money for the station. And boy, do we! Because this episode may be aired by other stations, and because the WCSB pledge drive is already over, we have reversed or cut the Cleveland phone number for pledges from these copies. But, if you want to pledge, the phone number is: 216-687-6900. Or, you can always mail or Paypal your pledge to firstname.lastname@example.org, aka SubGenius, PO Box 181417, Cleveland Hts OH 44118. Or (and this is probably easiest) just buy something from subgenius.com. Praise "Bob."
A great rerun, #895 from just before the 6X-Day Drill, 2003. Includes many REAL oldies from the Media Barrage tapes of the 1980s, mixed with tracks from the 2002 X-Day Drill, choice moments from ESO Swamp Radio, and Susie the Floozie’s amazing "Armageddon" collage. Also: a Stangian music collage of End o’ the World songs of yore, and two original Chas Smith songs — also Lonesome Cowboy Dave’s "SubGenius Anthem" and Pope Black’s sermon from Euro-X-Day 2002. And then there are the other 35 or 40 tracks. More about X-Day:
